Based on art-based methodology and phenomenology, the findings and impact for the intern researcher are made by reflecting the experience and meaning of art creating. (1)Chinese painting materials to evoke feelings. The abstract images are holding emotion and have many interpretation of imagination with a variety of meanings. (2)In the responsive art, when the researcher and participants are both artists¸ they are inclined to empathize others and clarify their feelings to achieve the purpose of two-way caring. (3)In the process of six successive creating and the interpretation of the artworks, the researcher found the unknown for life, the attention to loss and sadness, and the construction of meaning. Besides, the researcher uncovered the transformation of the self-intrinsic process and the deepening of loss of life and the meaning of sadness. (4)Through the actual creating, reflection and awareness, art therapists achieve the professional identity and self-care purposes. In the medical field, the unknown life and the lost bereavement are unavoidable issues. Through the reflection of responsive art, the researcher examined the role and career ethics of helpers in professional fields. Finally, it proposed the suggestion of using artistic creating as reflection tools and self-care.
