Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 體育學系體育教學碩士學位班 === 106 === This study aims to investigate how “Eight-week Happy Soccer Education” work differently in improving elementary school students’ Physical Fitness. This study is conducted in two PE courses per week in a number of Sixth Graders in XinTai Elementary School, New Taipei City, with 23 students in the experimental group and 26 students in control group.The students in the experimental group were given “Happy Soccer Education” while students in the control group were given “General Physical Education” for eight weeks. All the students were given a Physical Fitness Test before (Pre-test) and after (post-test) the experiment. The Physical Fitness Test includes Body Mass Index (BMI), flexibility (seated body front bend), muscular strength (standing broad jump), muscular endurance (1 minute bent-knee sit-ups) and cardiorespiratory endurance (800 meters).After the experiment, an Independent Sample t-test was performed to test the homogeneity of Pre-physical Fitness Test of the boy students and girl students in the experimental and the control groups; with the Paired Sample t-test to compare the Pre- and Post- Physical Fitness Test in the boy students and girls students in the experimental group and the control groups.Using the SPSS For Windows 22.0 statistical software for data analysis, the following research results were obtained. For the Sixth Graders who took the Eight-week Happy Soccer Education have significant progress in muscular strength, muscular endurance and cardiorespiratory endurance and have significant differences from students who only took general PE education courses.
