Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 學習與媒材設計學系課程與教學碩士學位在職專班 === 106 === This research aims at finding out what the learning process and the achievements of the students would be when the internet resources are incorporated into their curriculum. The instructor designs activities that incorporate the field of modern technology and the field of health and physical activities . The activities and their effects are presented here to provide insight for the further exploring.
The participants are 28 4th graders of one New Taipei City elementary school, among them 14 are male students, the rest are females. Following the guidelines of the action research, the instructor conducted this study. The assessment data are gathered through interviews, online structured questionnaire, and an online assessment game, kahoot. The time used is 11 class sessions, or 440 minutes. There are three major sessions of activities: follow-up, Follow-after, and quarry. The follow-ups are the activities in which students learn all six kinds of food and make accurate record of their dietary volumes. The following-after’s are the activities in which students examine and interpret these records and their deviation from the suggested one. In the activities of quarry students, use the result of reflection to take actions to have more balanced diets.
After the first implementation, the instructors looked into the process, and then do the research again with a modified plan.
There are 4 findings from the results. First, the curriculum that aims at using internet resources to aid on the self-modification of dietary behavior actually has significant impact on students’ behavior.
Second, it is a viable option to bring the technology discipline over to the discipline of health and physical activities.
Third, the speed of the 4th graders varies wildly in recording their diet on the online google sheet app.
Fourth, students need their parents to participate actively so that they can have a more balanced diet outside school.
