Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 運動科學研究所 === 106 === Purpose:The study investigated the differences on perceived stress, heart rate variability, respiratory function, and balance of firefighters with different seniorities. Methods: The participants were 20 first responders in Taipei City Fire Department who graduated from Taiwan Police College, and were divided into new-staff and 10-years-seniority groups. The researcher observed the parameters of perceived stress, heart rate variability, respiratory function, and standing balance. Results:The results indicated perceived stress of new-staff group was obviously higher than 10-years-seniority group(p<0.001). There was no significant difference in heart rate variability, respiratory function and stand-balance between two groups. Conclusion: The research indicates that new firefighters have higher perceived stress. Therefore, besides strengthen body constitution, it is suggested to implement mental adjustment and counseling for new firefighters.
