| Summary: | 碩士 === 環球科技大學 === 公共事務管理研究所 === 107 === This study explores the establishment of a common consciousness and the conducting of community building by organizations in the Haocha community in Wutai Township, Pingtung County. In-depth interviews with community cadres, elders, community workers, and community residents were conducted; also, on-site observations were made, and small community meetings were attended in order to investigate the ideas and understandings held by community members with respect to the overall community
development.
As a result of societal changes which impacted traditional culture and living habits, tribe members gradually lost traditional sentiments, and common themes diminished. However, through community building implementation processes in which tribes’ people were encouraged to take part in public tribal affairs, a common consciousness was solidified and collective action among residents initiated. This manifested an atmosphere of community interaction and care, common sharing, and common honor. It also allowed for the diversified community development and initiated comprehensive, creative and sustainable community building and operations.
