碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 電影創作學系碩士班 === 106 === “Thief” is a short black comedy. Synopsis of this film is as follows. There were four men who broke into a house with different purposes. The man, who is one of them, Xiang, took a risk to stole Xiao Mao’ s necklace which is a memento from her mother in order to win her heart in the house. The story is simple initially, but it becomes more and more complicated after meeting another man ZHI-SHENG. At the end of story, two men finally found it was not coincidence but elaborately arranged that they gathered at the same time. This film mainly describes difficulties arising from the generation gap in current society.In this film, you can see people antagonize another for their respective benefit but see the opportunities of cooperation and finally they become others' tools to get benefit. This Thesis examines the film from the theme, genre, and scrip structure and further discuss the aesthetics from performance, cinematography,lighting, and design. Eventually, I will learn and improve from the mistakes of production process and the reflection of viewers.
