Currently people communicate with hand-writing papers or Windows EXCEL files in interior design and renovation industry. So many papers and files lead to poor efficiency and bad management. The goal of this research is to document operation procedures and develop the digital management system. With this digital management system, we expect 46% time-saving from current hand-writing operations. In EXCEL process, the user firstly need EXCEL skills and take lots of actions to entry and categorize data in many EXCEL files. This digital system is designed for easy operation: the user selects data and confirms on the user interface. The system then completes the rest process. Such design can minimize error rate and form-correction costs in each project. In addition, because all data are stored in cloud-server, each member can access and work from different places at the same time and share the same data or documents.
In summary, we believe this digital system can reduce the working hours, the cost of heavy paperworks, improve the operation efficiency and value-add.
