Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 106 === Sergei Prokofiev (1891-1953) was a Russian composer, pianist and conductor. He was counted among the most representative composers of 20th century. Although he composed many different types of works, he only composed seven pieces of violin works in his life, suggesting that his violin works are not a lot. In this article, the author is going to focus on Sonata for Solo Violin in D Major, Op.115 as the subject of research and interpretation of performance. This research paper includes five chapters. The first chapter explains the motivation and purpose of writing this paper, and elaborates the field and method of the research. The second chapter discusses composer’s life and the background of composition. The third chapter analyzes forms of each movement through background of composition. The analysis of the music is presented in chapter fourth. From the performer’s point of view, we think about the appropriate performs technique and interpretation. The fifth chapter is the conclusion. which concludes all the research make Inductive and finished.
