碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 106 === Tyzen Hsiao, an important contemporary composer in Taiwan, had an unordinary life because of music. His composes are mostly based on deep feelings towards Taiwan and religious devotion. This article is selected from his piano suite “Memories of Home.” Behind each suite's creative motives there is a fascinating little story. From the music, one can feel the composer's most true emotional expression. By analyzing musical composition, the performer can think deeper and better understand the composer’s original interpretation of the music, in addition to presenting the music in a way that allows room for imagination for the audience. The author of this article hopes to provide the performer with different potential interpretations, as well as provide the reader with different orientations to listen to the delicate arrangements of the music. Hopefully performers and listeners can all be in the same musical atmosphere and feel the style of music that belongs to Tyzen Hsiao.
