碩士 === 淡江大學 === 資訊工程學系碩士班 === 106 === This paper proposes an effective scheme to improve performance of the in-band full-duplex wireless LAN (IBFD WLAN). With the advancement of the physical layer technology, to realize the full duplex transmission is possible. Based on the assumption that all STAs are capable of transmitting and receiving simultaneously, the paper proposed a scheme, named SLFD (Stream-Like Full-Duplex) MAC protocol, to enable the receiver start to transmit while it is receiving from the sender. However, when the number of transmission pairs increases, the interference among STAs is increased as well. As a result, the paper analyzes the interference impact of transmission power on sur-rounding STAs. By means of SIR (Signal to Interference Ratio) and RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication), the receiver can decide whether to start another transmission or not. Through capture effect, the receiver can derive an appropriate transmission power to transmit in order not to cause interference to the current transmissions. The simulation is conducted by OMNET++. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme, SLFD, outperforms the related research protocol in terms of network throughput.
