By using the narrative inquiry method, this study invited three 26-year-old single women with partners to serve as research participants, attempting to understand their past love experiences and the meanings they gave to each relationship, including their opinions on the current relationship and their plans for the future. This study found that all love experiences had made influences on the participants. Those influences could be divided into the following four aspects: 1) The possibility of choosing an ideal relationship for oneself: Each relationship, regardless of the end or an ongoing phase, could make them clearer about their expectations for both the relationship and the partner, and thus they could choose an ideal love for themselves. 2) No pressure to marry or not to marry: In the past, most single women must have faced pressure from all parties if they were in relationships at a marriageable age. Nevertheless, in the modern social culture, women could select what kinds of relationship they want, and further plan the future of their love by themselves without being limited to others’ opinions. 3) Transformations in love: The self-growth in the key to the process of a love relationship, and it is also the the most profound change that one could have in each love relationship. 4) Zodiac signs used to name these single women: In this study, the participants were given different names after zodiac signs in order to represent that love has an inborn nature or destiny within it for single women. Based on the above research results, this study suggests recommendations for future research directions. 楊明磊 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 76 zh-TW
