These powers have placed remittances within the objectives of the international agendas to carry out a series of sustainable projects and undertake programs of systematization in the treatment of these flows. This research is aimed at the analysis of flows of remittances in the period (2010-2017), taking as a source country to United States and as a receiver or sensor country of these revenues to the Dominican Republic, where he intends to identify the set of causes and consequences that have space around these transfers, which begins with: 1. Theoretical approaches on remittances, especially those associated with international migration, economic development of States containers at macro and micro level, particularly their participation in the gross domestic product (GDP), as well as its active outreach as party responsible for human development through the impact that these have on the life of the people, in this last they have relevance of gender studies. These approaches are accompanied by a global view of the object of study that considered at a general level the countries and organizations that have higher incidence in terms of emission on the world stage and receipt of remittances, then at the regional level there is an outline the role of remittances in Latin America and the Caribbean; 2. In the background describes the interrelationship between both countries and the local situation around investigation. The Dominican Republic, as a result of the fall in sugar prices in the 1980''s, has maintained a steady emigration to the United States in search of better working conditions to ensure their well-being and therefore from their family environment, which In addition to being responsible for the representative community of Dominican American nation in immigrants and social processes, economic and political that they have faced, by far is its consistent and growing revenue in quality emission remittances to the Caribbean country, which represent the largest percentage of the total they receive and one of the three highest in Latin America and the Caribbean. This is pertinent to review the changes that remittance flows have caused in the internal legislation of the both countries, seeking to regularize procedures that have given space to these income and those processes that have in practice unleashed these transfers; 3. Inherent to the person as a condition and legal efforts are included in the final phase on the basis of the effects both senders and recipients individually, to reach the destination that facilitates these flows, in this case the United States visas. In keeping with the genre that emphasizes the role leading and empowerment of Dominican women in sending and receipts of remittances, are also taken in have the geographical areas of greatest destination of these revenues within the Dominican Republic and the purpose of these monetary transfers by issuers and subsequent use by the receiver. For the achievement of these objectives the research will be guided in the context of the documentary analysis of the above-mentioned theoretical approaches contained in a several amount of sources, as well as studies and statistical data official, following the structural pattern contained in the three designated points which placed research global, interstate and local, and individual. 白方濟 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 154
