In addition, the ICT industry is flourishing in this information era. This purpose of this thesis is to combine these three aspects and examine the influence of FDI in the ICT sector of Mexico. This thesis introduces the FDI theories in the Chapter II, which includes the development cycle theory of Dunning and the supplement theory of Pei Chang-Hong and Zheng Wen. It also analyses the global, Latin American and Mexican FDI. Additionally, it studies the Mexican ICT industry development and this sector’s FDI. The first section of Chapter III analyses the development and strategies of China’s FDI. Since this thesis focuses on the influence of home countries on its overseas investing enterprises, the impact of China’s influence on the FDI is significant. The next section is about Huawei development and its investments in Latin America and Mexico, along with its competition. It then interprets the Huawei’s influence on Mexico’s ICT industry. Based on international investment theory, Chapter IV evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of Huawei’s ICT investments in Mexico. First, it analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of Mexico’s investment environment. Then it evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of home countries influence. Finally, by using PEST and SWOT, a cross analysis of Huawei and the foreign company in Mexico’s ICT industry competition. From the results of this thesis, it can be noted that FDI is no longer just an issue of the enterprises themselves. The help from the home countries of the enterprises is also significant. The strengths of Huawei and the rise of China, means that in the near future, both have advantages against other competition. 宮國威 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 141 zh-TW |
