However, when the functions of smart TV are added, buttons of the controller will also be increased. People consider that Smart TV controller becomes more complex than before, and it affects peoples willingness to use new functions. Eye-controlled devices have been regarded as expensive medical assistive devices in the past. However, gaze input has become increasingly popular and being used in various fields as a new interaction. Therefore, this research would apply the gaze input to operate the smart TV, and try to improve the user experience. Through the literature to understand the status of smart TV development, smart TV operation methods, and the eye-controlled interaction development, the eye-controlled application and existing problems. To analyze the future development possibilities of gaze input operation. By the experiment performance and the user subjective assessment. The paper probed into three modes of operation: "hand operation", "eye-hand operation" and "pure eye operation". The results showed that there were significant differences in the performance of different modes of operation. In the traditional basic function of the task, "hand operation" performance was better. On the other hand, in the new function of the task, "eye-hand operation" was better. The mental load of "eye-hand operation" was less than "pure eye operation". The highest SUS score was "eye-hand operation", followed by the "pure eye operation", "hand operation" SUS score was the lowest. But the SUS score of the three did not meet the standard of good use. In addition, the experimental results showed that the interface design has a considerable impact on eye control operations of usability. Based on the experimental analysis results, this study summarizes the gaze input operation and interface design recommendations as follows: (1) The gaze input operation should be simple and intuitive and can be personalized adjustment. (2) Buttons of the eye-controlled interface should be place the middle of the screen, and maintain the appropriate distance, also according to its functional category group arrangement. (3) To avoid using pure monochrome as the interface background. (4) Buttons should be provided obvious trigger feedback when operating. 陳圳卿 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 124 zh-TW |
