However, most of the visitors have troubles and difficulties on well trip planning because the internet information about Hong Kong is mostly introducing the most famous tourist attractions and without detail classification. With the rapid changes in technology, 360-degree Virtual Reality (VR) multimedia content has become more and more popular, it is applied to different social networking platforms, such as YouTube and Facebook, sharing the sceneries to others.
Nowadays, Hong Kong is a commercial based society. Most of the business concentrate in the area of how to maximize their profit. In the view of this, no company would like to invest in explore in tourist information with 360-degree Virtual Reality (VR) multimedia content. In this respect, the growth of 360-degree Virtual Reality (VR) multimedia content in Hong Kong is very slow in providing this aspect to the tourists. In this respect, the purpose of this study is to create a 360-degree Virtual Reality (VR) multimedia content website about Hong Kong travel information to help tourists in obtaining more information of how to travel in Hong Kong and have well travel planning.
The research method is using questionnaire for the data collection and analysis:-
(1) to study whether the Virtual Reality (VR) technique can be applied to the Hong Kong travel website; (2) to provide relevant tourist attractions information; (3) to study if using the Virtual Reality (VR) technique will be more effective or not. As a result, tourists can find out more relevant travel information of Hong Kong attractions and have a better experience in “Exploring Hong Kong” (a 360-degree Virtual Reality (VR) multimedia content website about Hong Kong travel information).
