Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 106 === This thesis proposes a study of phase array with four-bit multiple angle. The Vivaldi antenna with wide-beam scanning plane characteristic is adopted designed to operate at 2.5 GHz. A 3-dB beam-width decrease of 144.44 degree to 29.01 degree is achieved by a four element antenna array design. All four elements are evenly spaced in the antenna array. The designed power divider combined with the designed filter enables the system to receive mainly the 2.5 GHz signal. The phase shifter is designed in units of 30 degree over the 360 degree angular spread. The one bit phase shifter is then extended to four-bit phase shifters and through adjustment the phase difference to achieve beamforming capability. Based on the aforementioned design consideration, a phase array four bit multiple angle phase shifter is constructed. The two antennas operating at 2.5 GHz is spaced 55 mm apart. The resulting antenna gain is 3 dBi with a scanning angle between 23 degree to 157 degree. The beamwidth is 30 degree and the maximum half power beam-width is 171 degree.
