Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 管理國際學生碩士專班 (IMBA) === 106 === During the past few years more and more foreigners are coming for visiting and live in Taiwan, a wonderful country, full of beauty and opportunities. Since the number of expats in the island is increasing, I did an investigation through a questionnaire to see what these expats think of Taiwan, what is good, what is bad, what to change, why they should stay rather than leave. Taiwan government started a very smart campaign to bring foreigners, especially young, and thanks to scholarships, job offers, and word of mouth the statistics say that the flow of foreigners coming raise of the 73% in the last 5 years. Plus the tourism too is having a big change, many routes were opened and much more new routes are announced. Most of the expats that don’t come as students or exchange move here, to the island of “Formosa”, for work, as english teachers, involved in manufacturing or high - tech industry. The results of my questionnaire show clearly that Taiwan is a great place where to live, the 96% of the expats interviewed is in love with the island, satisfied by the chilling and cheap cost way of living, the kindness of the locals, the food and the beautiful landscape. i Two problems were found thanks to the survey, first one the crazy climate change of Taipei, but we can not do more for this, and second one that is still a bit difficult to have a visa extended even if expats are working and are based in the country since few years, so maybe for this the government should help to find a new law that can accommodate this increment demand.
