Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 車輛工程系 === 106 === The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of different suspension geometry on the vehicle steering behavior. The analysis result is used to design a new variable geometry suspension system capable of reducing the steering torque. First of all, ADAMS/Car was used to construct different models of geometry suspension vehicles, and to compare the demand of power with different setting of caster in low speed, so that the control strategy could be designed. In addition, this study used suspension derivative method to analyze the mechanical trail formed by caster angle of steering axis. Meanwhile, the models of front suspension and full car made by ADAMS/Car were used to individually test the steering characteristics and the vehicle handling in different geometry suspension. Then, by adding an auxiliary motor to push the upper control arm, this research designs a new variable caster suspension system based on the analysis results. Finally, vehicle dynamics simulation by combined ADAMS/Car with Matlab/Simulink was executed to calculate the power the motors needed and to analyze the energy saved of vehicles with variable caster suspension system in the low speed.
