This study takes company P as an example to illustrate the current market characteristics of the notebook OEM industry. Some topics are also addressed such as what kinds of the dilemma company P has faced in the notebook OEM industry, and internal conditions of the enterprise and external competitive environment. The comprehensive analysis was carried out by using SWOT analysis and the business model adopted by company P to find out the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats of company P in the global notebook OEM competition. The research results provide some suggestions of brands development, technology innovation, supply system, and channel marketing for this industry and help Taiwanese notebook companies adjust their strategies in the market competition in the new market environment to enhance their overall competitiveness.
