碩士 === 東海大學 === 高階經營管理碩士在職專班 === 106 === This study uses the method of case study to explore important questions about the antecedents and performance performance of innovation ambidexterity in the telecommunication industry in Taiwan. Specifically, while previous research has acknowledged that organizational ambidexterity can impact firm performance, little is known about whether and how industrial competition and entrepreneurial orientation influence innovation ambidexterity and whether innovation ambidexterity is a mechanism through which industrial competition and entrepreneurial orientation contribute to firm performance. The T company in the telecommunication industry in Taiwan is used to explore our theoretical framework. Building on the dynamic capability view of innovation and the literatures of industrial competition and entrepreneurial orientation, the results of this study show that (1) industrial competition will enhance the link between entrepreneurial orientation and innovation ambidexterity, and (2) innovation ambidexterity has positive effect on firm performance. Finally, the theoretical and managerial implications of this study are also discussed.
