Description
Summary:碩士 === 東海大學 === 環境科學與工程學系 === 106 === In this study, a sequencing batch biofilm reactor (SBBR) was used to improve the performance of nitrogen removal in a real municipal wastewater. Waste activated sludge (WAS) was sintered to form porous immobilized pellet-like bio-carrier and commercially available rope-like biological carrier as a comparison was used as carriers in the SBBR. These different carriers (which was pellet bio-carriers and rope bio-carriers) were added to two identical SBBR systems in the same ratio of 40%, used to determine the model for simultaneous nitrification and denitrification (SND) processe. The results showed that the total nitrogen removal rate of both biological carriers could reach more than 81% under low-carbon conditions (C/N≤ 2.5)。Both SBBR with different types of the carriers were subjected to simultaneous nitrification and denitrification because the system released a low amount of nitrate nitrogen. The pellet carrier SBBR-40% system (TN removal efficiency was 81.82%) and the rope carrier SBBR-40% system (The removal rate of 81.77%) were similar in efficiency. The overall results showed that the WAS-mode bio-carrier had the similar nitrogen removal efficiency and higher environmental friendliness when compared with commercial chemical bio-carrier.
