Many studies showed that professional learning communities could help teachers to learn. This qualitative study used semi-structured interviews, participating observations, and documents to examine seven middle school teachers’ participation experiences in the professional learning community to grow teacher professional development. Analysis of data shows the middle school teachers that participated in the professional learning community can help preservice teachers and themselves to improve their teaching. The teachers engaged in a variety of activities, which includes attending the meetings to talk with the community members, demonstrating teaching in classrooms, and providing feedbacks to the preservice teachers’ microteaching. As a result, the middle school teachers developed their knowledge, skills and passion of teaching.
