Description
Summary:碩士 === 東海大學 === 美術學系 === 106 === This research investigates the contents and variations of the style of the art works done during 2015 to 2018. The first chapter discusses my motive and the societal impact on people nowadays, thinking about what creative art works mean to me. Besides, I have read some books about affective disorder and referred to several artists who express their inner feelings to make them the basis of my theory. The second chapter describes how I was influenced by the growing experience and working surroundings and then was induced affective disorder. The negative emotions affected physical states. When I was creating my art works, I found that continual drawings relax myself. Therefore, I used repeating patterns to heal myself. Concerning the sign of the roses and thorns, I found the demand for belongingness and love of people nowadays. In order to identify themselves, people compete with each other. Therefore, the following pain is not only experienced by me but also experienced by others. That kind of pain is a common problem for people nowadays. The flower of a rose symbols the demand for love, but the thorns of a rose otherwise represents the pain that people feel. Then the third chapter elaborates that Nihonga is a medium which needs complicated steps to work with. It relaxes my mood. Moreover, I described how the variations of my thoughts impact the visual surface of my creation. I attempted to explain the visual stimulation of the colors, expressing the meanings in microscopic scale. The layout of the exhibition space impacts on the structure of the art works. In chapter four analysis of works, introduces the creative concept and practices. Chapter fifth conclusions. Eventually, I analyzed my own art works. Since I had been aware of my physical reactions, I thought of how to express the sounds of the heart beating. Therefore, influenced by Expressionism, the concrete items are converted into abstract signs and the sound of the heart implies the reactions of my affective disorder. The physical reactions are induced by the psychological state. However, the pressure that triggers the reactions of the mood originates from the demands of recognition. Thus, I transformed the sign of roses into abstract images, comparing my motivation and some other artists who are similar to me. Apart from reassuring my thoughts of creation, I can observe the impact that the social surroundings give me.
