Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 工業工程與經營資訊學系 === 106 === Looking around the global industrial development, the rising and falling of the manufacturing industry is always led by costs. Taiwan's manufacturing industry is no exception. Taiwan was also viewed as a low-cost production base, although Taiwan’s manufacturing industry was prosperous by so. However, studies and surveys in recent years have shown that the Taiwan’s machine tool industry is at a low value and facing a crisis of recession, but the enterprise in Taiwan has not managed to escape from the crisis.
This study defined 4 types of enterprise from customer’s perspective by two dimensions- "interaction strength" and "value proposition strength".These include “cost-performance” enterprises that rely on low-cost and low price concepts to manage; “high interaction” enterprises that are concerned about customer needs but have not yet been able to determine customer challenges; “High-function-oriented” enterprise rely on reputation for excellence and provide functionality. High-function-oriented enterprises that earn high-value products with a functional value; "solution" enterprises that aim at providing customers with solution-based solutions to earn proposal value. And through interviews with 10 machine tool customers, it was confirmed that Taiwanese enterprises are mostly cost-performance enterprises with low value-providing capabilities and are easily eliminated, so that Taiwanese enterprises can better understand their own dangerous situations. In addition, it also puts forward the difficulties and challenges that need to be overcome for Taiwan's machine tool enterprises to get rid of cost- performance enterprises.
