Summary:碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 休閒事業管理系 === 106 === This research is aimed to explore local residents’ perception on tourism impact, trust towards the government, and support to the Universiade in 2017 in Taipei City. A survey questionnaire method was used to collect data on local residents in Taipei city from August 26th to 30th, 2017. A total of 242 valid responses were collected and analyzed using SPSS 22 software. The study findings are as followings: Most of local residents are aware of the 2017 Universiade in Taipei, and they perceive that holding the event can raise up the reputation of Taipei City worldwide and are satisfied with the planning and implementation of Taipei government. They are supportive for Taipei City to hold international events in the future, although the increased prices and unequally distribted sources are along with the event hosting. Local residents’ support towards hosting the event are significantly influenced by perceived positive and negative impacts as well as trust towards Taipei City government. Moreover, local residents’ perceived impacts and trust differ depending on their personal backgrounds.
