In recent years, the National Telecommunications Commission (NCC) has set forth the technical specifications for the installation of telecommunication equipment inside and outside the premises (CLE-EL-3600-9). The equipment (keystone jack modules and network connection terminals) sold in the market exhibits various brands, strengths and weaknesses and confusion price. Is it a penny stock or brand myth? Therefore, it’s should be interesting to identify its strengths and weaknesses through analyzing characteristics of keystone jack modules and network connection terminals. Network lines and ancillary parts (keystone jack module and network connection terminal) are the most basic network equipment. As the customers use inferior network equipment, there always will be hidden dangers in the future. In addition, even with the excellent wire and ancillary components, the correct method statement on approaches is still the basic requirements, otherwise it will also lead to the use of network disorder. In this study, several kinds of keystone jack modules and network connection terminals with various brands obtained from the market have been analyzed. The same network wire and the approach (tools) are taken as a standard. The electrical attenuations of the keystone jack modules and network connection terminal are measured and verified through the programmable resistance measuring equipment (KEITHLEY 2400 Multifunction Power Meter).
