Summary:碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計系碩士班 === 106 === This thesis is outline here to focus on the historical evolution of European floral art from the Greco-Roman period to modern period through the transformation of architectural styles that gradually influence floral design. In addition, this paper will probe into details on how such influence has shaped variety forms of botanic design from outdoors, garden and interior design space planning. Thus, it is important to understand that architecture also play a significant part in flora design. Floral design can considered as an inseparably part of religious ceremonies back in the day. However, it gradually shifts to the delight of the public aesthetic. Such aesthetic has its own design theory that later has apply into the floral design from Germany. These forms started out from the imitative nature of the botanic design to the interpretation of the natural that includes different decorative types and theories such as asymmetrical formation and image formation, the balance of proportion, visual balance, and color. Indeed,there is certain rules to follow in flora design. It is worth to notice, all these rules are interrelated with nature. Through the creation of flora design, theory form a framework and corner stone of juxtapose the culture and geographical location of German and French in the differences of flower shape, color, lines, emotions in this research.
