This study conducted in-depth interviews on 6 high school female teachers who have experienced sexual harassment from their male students. The study concluded in the following findings on the interviewed teacher-victims : 1) They are double bond in the gender power and teacher’s roles resulting from patriarchal hierarchy and Chinese cultural expectations of school teachers, respectively; 2) Most adopt passive strategies in dealing with sexual harassment incidents. These reactions reflect the silencing effect on female victims by patriarchal system; 3) Most embrace social myth of sexual harassment and are reluctant to speak out in order to prevent themselves from secondary harm; 4) Most are not willing to seek Gender Equity Education Act to deal with the incidents due to their concerns with its complexities, intricacies, and time-consuming. In addition, they are concerned about possible ramifications if pursuing administrative-legal procedure. Therefore, to prevent sexual harassment of female teachers by male students in high schools, this study suggest the following: striving for gender equality in school culture, deconstructing gender hierarchy of patriarchy, breaking up the various myths of sexual harassment, improving convoluted procedures in the Gender Equity Education Act and moving towards Restorative Justice.
