Most teachers and parents think highly of the military training instructors, whose role and function have been keeping pace with the change of social values and progress in democracy, and responsibility for All-out Defense Education, security and discipline on campus. Despite playing a major role in the stability of the school, military training instructors are often criticized by specific political groups for the legitimacy in schools due to their military identity. In 2016, the government announced that the military training education system will be abolished in 2023. However, the controversy of military training education system should be regarded as an educational issue rather than a political issue. This study aimed to explore the role expectation, satisifaction and support of military training education system for public senior high school students. By means of documentation and questionnaires analyzed by IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0, the finding suggests that most students approve the role and function of military training instructors on campus. Moreover, there are 75.5% students conceive that military training instructors have an ability to maintain the security and peace in schools, and 93.1 % students disagree with the abolishment of military training education system.
