Many universities have faced the difficulties in student enrollment. The recruitment of international students is one of the proposed solutions for this problem. The number of Vietnamese student in Taiwan was increased. However, they have to overcome the cultural gap to study aboard. In this study, we investigated how Vietnamese student had been studying in Taiwan, especially for their cultural differences, communication skills, life adaptation and learning outcome relevance. The solution for Vietnamese students in term of life adaptation was also proposed. The interview was conducted extensively with various Vietnamese students in Taiwan at various fields from culture, communication skills to life adaption. The circumstances and aspirations of Vietnamese students were shown. The solutions have been proposed to allow Vietnamese student could adapt to the local environment. Vietnamese students could feel more comfortable to enjoy their study in Taiwan. We do believe that the students who graduate from Taiwan can promote the relationship between Vietnam and Taiwan in term of economy, culture as well as politics. This research will conduct the interviews with Vietnamese students at universities in Taiwan. Then, their perspective data will be collected. To be more specific, we will have interviews with nine Vietnamese students to understand their characters, cultural differences, communication abilities in order to adapt staying in Taiwan. We will focus the differences as follows: (1) personality characteristic and cultural differences which lead to adapt staying better, (2) personality characteristic and cultural differences which lead to adapt studying better. This research can go further if it investigates deeply human characters such as extrovert and introvert personalities. In addition, a background of interviews such as their family or amount of period they have lived in Taiwan might play major roles in term of living adaption.
