Instead, the critical parts focus on its memory, monologue, time and love. It is not the ending of character’s story but the importance is why character in movie becomes the film” Ashes of Time”. Its greater part and value of film is unknown to Jing Yong. It is more like understanding the plot then creating the movie than remaking or adapting the film. All of the “known” things in original novel never appear in the film. The only thing was that the characters had “reputation” and “ending” in the novel. Ashes of Time is a prequel, showing that all understanding of the original work in the past did not relate to the content of film. However, the film Ashes of Time is a wuxia film which does not focus on wuxia plot, the most significant plot focus on love, memory and time. All of this refers to those known as “heroes” and the unknown minding word. This master's thesis first explain clearly relation and difference in The Legend of The Condor Heroes and Ashes of Time, employ “horizon of expectations” induction difference in Martial arts novels to wuxia film and Ashes of Time, highlights this film unique in huge Martial arts system. Then employ “Psychoanalysis” and “Mirror Stage”, analysis the Inner world in film characters. Ashes of Time detachment binary oppositions tradition in wuxia film, empehasiz “human being” not empehasiz “good and evil”,this With special skills heroes have ordinary people emotion for example love and livelihood, each heroes have two face in “virtual and reality”. Last employ “gender” be topic,draw support “horizons”, “symbol” and “sexual passion”, expound “gender” way of expression in this film. “wuxia” always belong male and masculine, but not “masculine” film, this master's thesis employ different horizons, specific and abstract film symbol, people sexual passion mobility, examples gender consciousness in Ashes of Time.
