By using survey technique to gather data, “Family Quality of Life Survey-2006 FQOLS-2006” was adopted as a tool in the study. The main caregivers of students in higher vocational of special education schools were the subjects of the study. A total of 230 effective questionnaires were obtained, and the effective return rate was 66.28%. “Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) 20.0 verson” software was used for narrative statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, independent sample t test, single factor analysis of variance, Pearson correlation coefficient test, and stepwise regression analysis. The major findings of the study were as follows: 1. Consciously "good" health status is an important factor affecting the family quality of life. 2. “Improving the health status of family members” and “improving the relationship between family members” are the most important domains affecting family quality of life. 3. "Perceived family quality of life " has the greatest influence on " satisfaction with family quality of life ". 4. “Attainment and Satisfaction Improvement Level” has the highest influence on “Perceived Family Quality of Life” and “Satisfaction with family quality of life” among the four predicting dimensions. 5. Satisfaction with family quality of life of the main caregivers of Non-Metropolitan Area in Taoyuan are significantly higher than the primary caregivers in metropolitan area in Taipei.
