Recently, different patterns of tape were developed in their own function. In the light of this information, the application and comparison with different types of kinesio tape in sports recovery were worth to investigate. Purpose: The aim of this study was to explore the effects of different tapes on the fatigue after accepting lower extremity exercises (LEE). Method: 15 of 19 to 25 years old collegiate male participants were recruited and as well as randomly distributed into kinesio tape group (KT), ROCKTAPE group (RK), placebo group (used KT to tape without tension, PB) and non-taping group (control group, CG) with repeated-measures design. Participants performed LEE for muscle fatigued induction. The statistic method was used two-way ANOVA to analyze the muscle thickness (MT), the angle of pennation (AP), maximum eccentric contraction, and maximum concentric strength of the hamstring muscles. The significance level was set α=.05. Results: After testing, MT had no significant correlation with the maximum eccentric contraction. For AP, all groups showed a significant difference at the third day (F=2.990; p<.05). Comparing to CG, all taping groups had a better recovery in the maximum concentric strength performance; PB (p =0.001) > RK (p =0.010) > KT (p=0.011). Conclusion: After different sport tapings intervened to the repeated lower extremity exercises, the effects were as follows: 1) KT could help AP in fatigued muscle groups to recover to original state. 2) Comparing to the CG, taping groups had a better performance in maximum concentric strength. 3) Contrast to RK, KT had a better recovery effect.
