The C10 was deacetylated to form chitosan (Ch50). The physical properties of adsorbents were investigated using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), elemental analyzer (EA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The kinetic adsorption experiments of three dyes (RR222, RB222, AG25) with three adsorbents were studied by controlling various concentrations and temperatures. The highest dyes adsorption amount of adsorbent was Ch50. The equilibrium adsorption amounts of dyes in Ch50 was little perturbed by temperature. In addition, the kinetic adsorption data of Cu2+ shows that the qe values for C20 and Ch50 were 0.198 and 0.400 mol/kg, respectively. The equilibrium adsorption amounts of Cu2+ in Ch50 is higher than in C20. Moreover, the k2 of Ch50 shows that adsorption rate was fast. Kinetic data were analyzed using Elovich, I.D., and PSO models. The PSO model described suitably for kinetic data. It also shows that Ch50 had the highest adsorption capacities of dyes and Cu2+. Furthermore, the adsorption concentrations of salad oil, gasoline, diesel, engine oil, and glycerin in C20 were 21.54, 0.81, 20.81, 21.62, 23.49 g/g, respectively.
