The validity of the design rule was confirmed through the design, simulation, and measurement of the vehicle antenna at 5.96 GHz on FR4 substrates. The insertion loss and bandwidth of the U-type monopole vehicle antennas using FR4 substrates are about -53.77 dB and 0.68 GHz. On the other hand, the result of the fabricated U-type monopole vehicle antennas using 0.7MgTiTa2O8-0.3Nd(Zn1/2Ti1/2)O3 ceramic substrate (ε_r~23.37,Q×f~17000GHz and τ_f~0 ppm/℃) ceramic are design at a center frequency of 5.72 GHz.
