It is important to expand the business opportunities by creating the store's mobile applications, but, so far, users’ dependence and their demands are not enough. The purpose of this study is to use this study to increase customer demands on convenience store applications and to bring more values to the convenience store. The research steps of this study include: (1) Pilot experiment: The investigation of existing user interfaces of current convenience store applications and usability surveys to understand the interface operation issues and needs. (2) Verifying experiment: The prototype designs are based on pilot experiment results to help understand the interface usability with design feedbacks from the participants. The verifying experiment is conducted based on a 2 (higher or lower user experience) x 3 (point-earning mode) between-subjects experiment. The variable of "use experience" has two levels: (1) higher user experience, and (2) lower user experience. The variable of "point-earning mode" has three levels: (1) point information on the top, (2) point information at the bottom function list, (3) point information on the home page. Users’ task performance measures, interactive user interface satisfaction, System Usability Scale, and Questionnaire for User Interaction Satisfaction were attained through the experiments. The collected data were analyzed based on statistics. The generated results are summarized as follows: (1) The interface designed with "point information on the top" showed a better task efficiency and had simpler operation steps than others. (2) A fixed form is better than dynamic one: The dynamic style might let the user to spend more efforts to locate the target. (3) Unified information entrance might reduce errors: Due to the large amount of information, it could provide users with a clear entrance. (4) Point-earning requirements were the main reason for users to download convenience store applications, and it also could be a trend in the future that should be noticed.
