There is no relevant regulation of the diaphragms regarding on the number, type and spacing of the box girder in the Taiwan Bridge Code. This dissertation will discuss the stress behavior of the internal members of a steel box girder under eccentric loads. In this paper, finite element analysis software is used to investigate about the influence of the number and spacing of diaphragms, the type and aperture ratio of diaphragms on the steel box girder, and later extend it to the curved girder for preliminary analysis.
