Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 106 === This thesis proposes two kinds of the RF connector designs covering millimeter-wave bands. The first one is a connector for 5G mobile communications, which is a millimeter wave connector with a mating height of 1.00 mm. By modifying connector structures, a bandwidth from DC to 45GHz has been obtained. It can be used in 5G wireless communications as an important connection interface between systems and antennas for millimeter-wave transmission and reception. The second design is the millimeter wave connector for WiGig applications, which has a mating height of only 0.70 mm. New connector structures and shielding methods have been proposed to achieve a bandwidth from DC to 70GHz. Currently, some samples have been fabricated and tested for verifications. Those two RF connector designs in millimeter wave bands developed in this thesis may provide key connection jump wires for 5G wireless communications, and important technologies for millimeter wave communication era in near future.
