We synthesized two new ionic liquids [MOPS] [TBA] and [MOPS] [TBP] and measured their pKa values as well as the stability constants for the metal ions. The liquid-liquid phase boundaries of the aqueous solutions of ionic liquid in the presence of sodium citrate were measured by cloud point method.   This study also prepared 10 ppm of iron ions (Fe3+), chromium ions (Cr3+), europium ions (Eu3+), samarium ions (Sm3+), cerium ions (Ce3+), cobalt ions (Co2+), and nickel ions (Ni2+) solution, and used the new ionic liquid [MOPS] [TBA] and [MOPS] [TBP] as extractant and sodium citrate as a salting-out agent for conducting metal ion separation experiments and explore the extraction efficiency .
