However, the combination may also result in excessively high concentration of related markets, which in turn may impede the flow of capital, predatory pricing and other competitions. The anti-competitive effects such as barriers to entry into the market are necessary for the control of the combination of businesses. During the last three decades, Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore have experienced rapid economic development and have gradually become an important part of the global economy, they are also important markets in Asia for multinational companies. With the globalization of the economy, merger has become a method for the purpose of maximizing profits. Therefore, it is necessary to further study the competition laws in these four regions. In this regard, this study focuses on the regulation of merger control in the competition law of Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and conducts comparative research and analysis on the provisions of substantive and procedural law, each comprising the introduction of competition laws, the competent authorities, the definitions and types of "merger", the filing regulations, the review processes, competition assessment, and violations of regulations. Expected to bring benefit to the development of laws and legal system in Taiwan. Hwa-Meei Liou 劉華美 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 126 zh-TW |
