碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 工業管理系 === 106 === This paper investigates the optimal preventive maintenance (PM) and replacement strategies of repairable equipment that minimizes the expected total cost rate. During the usage period of equipment, any failure of the equipment is rectified by a minimal repair and incurs a fixed repair cost. In general, equipment might deteriorate and the number of failures might increase when the age or usage increases. In order to reduce the number of failures of the equipment, an appropriate preventive maintenance action should be performed to equipment. Equipment would incur PM cost when PM action is performed. An equipment would be replaced when PM cost is relatively high. Simultaneously, set up cost occurs when replacement action is performed. In this paper, the mathematical cost rate model is constructed. Based on the cost rate model, an algorithm is provided to obtain the optimal PM and replacement strategies, so that the expected total cost rate is minimized. Finally, some numerical examples are given to illustrate the effects of the optimal PM strategy to the expected cost rate.
