It's historical significance is like the tracks etched on vinyl records. A deep trace relying thestylus connect for turning it into wonderful music like a rhythm that contains more than four centuries of cultural relics, echoing and crisscrossing each other. This will lead to the Macao culture in this overlapping line. Is to demonstrate the culture of a mirror, leaving behind the scene of this scene will not disappear in a short time and space, public art facilities just historical imprint. Macao's public art slowly and solidly stands on the land of small city. Its development has infiltrated the characteristics of Macao's life styles, from the Chinese temple squre to the monument commemorating of the Church, from the colonial sculpture to the memorial building. This research is a study of the Sino-Portuguese Friendship Memorial – Kun Iam Ecumenical Centre. The observed of relationship between public art and the citizens of Macau,and their role in social evolution. We successfully interviewed three experts in the research and learned from these intellectuals that Macao's common perception of Eastern-Western culture. In view of its unique exterior design of Kun Iam Ecumenical Centre, it shows tolerance of different cultures in Macao. Therefore also observed that the religions are widely accepted by Macau community but lack understanding and demand on construction of public art. Their main focus is more on activities space and participation in ordinary cultural activities. However, in the extension of the research, there is still room for improvement in the construction of public art. From a comprehensive analysis of diverse perspectives, we can see that there is no contradiction. Instead, it is where Macau's culture should heading to. This is also the answer of this thesis of research where it began, developed from point, line, surface to body, forming a three-dimensional and valuable research topic.
