Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 書畫系造形藝術碩士班 === 106 === The thesis aims to research on the process of the generation of desire through positive ways of thinking.
In my works, I transformed my anxiety about desire aroused by my childhood experiences into motivations for art creating, giving vent to the fears by presenting them on the panels, which resulted in sublimation, and thus liberated me from years of imprisonment and the shackles of anxiety.
Contextually, "desire" serves as the main core proposition of my painting creations. As for the concepts and content of my works, I selected flowers to be the subject after cautiously developing the abovementioned value and thoughts, and then I established my individual style of erotic images.
This thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter 1, Introduction, outlines my research motivation and the purpose of my art creations, and it also explains the method of research and the way to develop my studies. In Chapter 2, I discuss the relationship between desire and the society, analyze the process of generating erotic images on the aspect of desire, and further discourse the transformation and sublimation of such desire during art creating. In Chapter 3, aside from introducing the materials and techniques used in my works, I also clarify my thinking process with regard to creating arts, and further discuss the way to project the grudge against lust hidden in my mind onto my art creations, which thus has resonances for the audience viewing the works. In Chapter 4, by juxtaposing words and images, I elaborated the meanings, conceptions, artistic forms of expressions, and techniques of my twenty works in four series, including “The Semazing Journey”, “Buds on Branches”, “Sew”, and “Pandora.” Finally, in Chapter 5, Conclusion, I sort out the research, reviews, and reflections in this thesis and propose the anticipation and the outlook for the future.
