Farmers have begun to use various methods to harness the natural climate in order to protect their hard-cultivated crops. This study aims to effectively reduce the risks that agricultural farming may encounter and reduce crop production losses by developing a suitable crop planting environment according to Taiwan''s climate.
With simple agricultural protection facilities, such as net rooms and simple greenhouses, the production capacity can be increased in a short period of time. However, the transparency of the plastic cover is greatly reduced after a period of time, so is the crop yield due to insufficient exposure to the sun. In addition, the conventional building structure is not strong enough. After a heavy storm, it is easy for the entire cultivation space structure to be damaged; and it is necessary to re-invest in building all the facilities again. The long-term cost in farming on such a piece of land does not match the investment income.
The data show that the durability and safety of the steel-framed greenhouse and the use of appropriate equipment provide good growth space and protection for the crop, but the initial investment in the fully enclosed hi-tech greenhouse is high, as the light sources are totally artificial. With the sunny environment in Taiwan, a hi-tech greenhouse combined with an automatic control system using both sunlight and artificial light source can significantly improve crop productivity. A greenhouse that is built according to the local climate and is combined with automatic control system can effectively and steadily increase the produce yield.
After six agricultural facilities recommended by the Council of Agriculture were compared and analyse,It is found that Although they can be used for plant growth in a whole year under the conditions of long-term cultivation, this study designed another hi-tech greenhouse with a pyramid-shaped Three-Dimensional Cultivation, After the greenhouse architecture is highly elevated,the indoor space available is increased,placement Three-dimensional shelf and the introduction of automated intelligent equipment enables mass production of crops, provide sufficient light source and ventilation airflow with in the pyramid structure, and enable plants to grow rapidly in a suitable environment, which can improve overall crop production capacity and agricultural income operating. The precision greenhouse designed is used for both, production and commercial exhibitions, It can be built according to the environment and the need for development goals.
