Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 光電工程學研究所 === 106 === The study of Ag nano-network formation under various conditions is continued in this thesis. In particular, we report the discovery that threading dislocations in GaN serve as the attraction sources of the hot electrons for forming the Ag nano-network structures. Also, we investigate the functions of point defects and surface oxide layers in the formation of nano-network structures. Both point defects and surface oxide layers can help in elongating the mean free path of hot electrons near the surface of the conductive template for forming more extended nano-network structures. The transmission levels and sheet resistance values of the Ag nano-network structures formed under various conditions are measured for evaluating their applications. Meanwhile, the novel phenomenon of Ag nano-explosion is discovered and demonstrated. The nano-explosion behavior forms thread-like Ag nanowires of several nm in cross-sectional size and a couple micron in length. Various potential applications of the nano-network structures are discussed.
