The thesis regards “the pop music” as a special type of “complex stylistic”. In the literary studies parts, it discusses the musical time, the structure of synchronic, spoken language culture. This thesis discusses several themes of the pop music creation via the method of literary studies and cultural studies. And creat the research paradigm of the pop music creation in department of literature. This thesis includes six chapters. Chapter 2 illustrates the relationship of pop music creation and the society. The complex stylistic of the pop music creation is changing through different times. The identity of pop music creation also changes after lifting of Martial Law. When postmodernism affects the popular culture, the identity of pop music creation will be multi-layers and flowing. Chapter 3 explains the local culture of contemporary pop music in Taiwan. From the lyrics, songs, cocept albums, the pop music creation show the different identity style from the written literature. Chapter 4 discusses the connection between the pop music creation and the social movement via the view of lyrical realism and the culture hegemony theory of Antonio Gramsci. In the part of national indentity, the thesis discusses the Taiwanese singers’ attitude to the prohibition of China. The most important, the pop music creation can react the political situation of the society, also reply the property of agency and activity. Chapter 5 discusses the musical performance in BMA and Presidential inauguration. The mucical performance of multilingual, blend, apposition, symbolizing the power situation of different groups in Taiwan. This thesis discusses several themes of the pop music creation via the method of literary studies and cultural studies. And trying to creat the research paradigm of the pop music creation in department of literature.
