When the food safety crisis broke out, the government had the responsibility to deal with the crisis. With the development of science and technology and the changes in human life, the media has become the main source of public reception of information, and it is possible to rebuild information. Therefore, for the government, crisis management and communication, and its interaction with the media, will affect the perception and trust of public to government. After collating relevant literature, this study compiled a “Government Crisis Management and Communication Framework”, which used this framework to analyze government how to management and communication in two food safety crisis incidents in 2017—Dioxin and Fipronil Egg Events, and the interactions with media, and the position of the media. Through in-depth interviews to understand the crisis situation of government departments, and then use content analysis and qualitative analysis methods to explore the government''s crisis communication strategy and the positions of government and media. After comprehensive analysis, there are something to improve of crisis management and communication for government. The media is indeed an important communication target. The government have different strategies for different media. However, the report on the event due to political factors of media background cause strength and position are different. Finally, there are still some improvements in the legal aspects of animal husbandry in food safety.
