Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 進修部環境經濟資管碩專(假日) === 105 === People keep constructing cities in order to make their life more progressive and civil, which brings big amount of population in cities. However, once there are big disasters happened in cities, people would have serious harm and damages due to the high density of population. For the most part of those disasters, natural damages such as earthquakes are the main cause making injuries and property-losing. Moreover, earthquakes are not predictable by technology nowadays. Therefore, this study focuses on earthquake as the main type of disaster and the management of space for the sake of disaster prevention when earthquake happens every time.
According to the research in the past, we can analyze the range that people take refuge in by the management of space for disaster prevention. Recently, the research use neighborhood in the study as a unit to manage the space of disaster prevention by the analysis of area. Nevertheless, this method is not able to consider the distribution of roads comprehensively, which leads the amount of people who can be favored in reality are not the same as expectation.
This study takes Taitung City as the research object and concludes the principle of the management in space of disaster prevention by the domestic and international sources. Besides, this study analyzes the sites people can refuge by geographic information system. In the circumstance of using those sites to imitate disaster prevention and those roads to imitate how people refuge in practical by the road network, we can manage the area for disaster prevention and we can analyze that most population in Taitung are in the safety site by using the analysis of population construction and distribution in Taitung. Moreover, we can analyze how the equipment needed to be settled in those sites. We hope that we can manage those sites in cities which are for disaster prevention more efficiently through this basic study – evaluate the basis, to make contribution to future study and the agency of managing disaster prevention.
Ultimately, the research has shown that there are 24 sites for disaster prevention which can provide the largest population up to 98.11 percent, and each people can have 34.59 square meters to refuge. In the circumstance of having sites for disaster prevention in every single neighborhood, almost every residents are contained in the safe range of refuge.
