The experiment was conducted in a kindergarten which affiliated to an elementary school in southern Taiwan. 60 senior class children as participants were divided into experimental group which proceed 20 activities of soccer games thematic curriculum for seven weeks, and control group which did routinely sweating activities. There were five selected testing items including 25-meter dash, standing long jump, softball throwing, continued supportive and 2-feet continuous jumping after referring to domestic and international physical fitness tests. The other information resources were teaching plan, early childhood assessment, key competences assessment for children, teaching course record, and teachers’ teaching reflection. The results showed significant improvement on children’s explosive power, muscular endurance, coordination, agility, and balance after the instruction. The experimental group performed better than the control group on 25-meter dash and softball throwing. The proposed children soccer games thematic teaching highly correlated to Curriculum Guideline of Preschool Care-taking Activities upon Ability of Body Movement and Health. Moreover, merging soccer games into learning assessment for young children and teachers’ teaching reflection benefited the teacher to get professional development in teaching methodology of Ability of Body Movement and Health.
