This study used the fan page of the National Taxation Bureau of the Central Area as subject to investigate the approach to apply infographics online to stand out government policies, specifically promoting taxation issues, that adoption of visual approach could accelerate the effectiveness of information transmission and increase the public understanding of taxation, while improving the effectiveness of the fan page. Initially, by literature analysis, relevant information on infographics would be collected, organized and summarized to sort out specific design elements, as well as understanding taxation or policy issues that the public showed the most interest. Then, by case study, the application of infographics in actual situation and the resulting effectiveness would be explored, before survey questionnaire was used to collect and analyze users'' opinions. The study found that line of sight was the key to reading. As for theme, the rights and obligations were the most important concerns for the public. In addition, static images could save both the time and money. The empirical result showed an effective improvement in the public understanding of taxation by using infographics; plus, an increased in interaction could accelerate information transmission. Despite the limit in time, manpower and resource to obtain a complete conclusion, such data collection, analysis and discussion could still provide a reference and a direction for government department in using infographics to promote various policies, in order to make the promotion of taxation policy easier to do.
